Also boar brushes are stiffer than badger brushes because they hold more water in the bristles than badger, and best of all boar brushes are FANTASTIC for face lathering regardless of the soap you used.

I only use it a couple of times a week, in rotation, so still not broken in.
Roughly how many weeks of shaving every day, give or take a week, to break in?
I know it's a, how longs s piece of string question, but ball park will do.

Anywhere from two to six weeks of daily use, it's the wet / dry cycle that breaks them in so even if you don't use it, soak it for ten min in hot but not boiling water and then let it dry and do this as much as you can and this will speed things up.
(Just soak the bristles not the whole brush)

I always soak my brush while I'm taking a shower. I've just used it and it's definitely getting softer, not as soft as badger or horse but not scritchy and holds a bucket load of lather.

Yes, I'm sure you soak your brush before you use it, I was just suggesting soaking it even when you are using your badger brush just to speed things up, even if you don't use every day you can soak and dry it every day thus speeding up the breaking in period

Thanks for the tip, I had took it on board, for some reason unknown to me I forgot to mention it.
