What is the difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero??

People love to slag off the NHS, however most of them are still happy to get the free treatment rather than go private and pay for it.
My goodness, this thread has taken a real turn off the original path! LOL Personally, I would never slag off the NHS, I simply wouldn't be alive today without the care and support of my local hospitals...

Chilled carbonated water with a squeeze of lemon or lime juice. :/
There was a time - maybe still is - when carbonated water was said to leach out the calcium from your bones.

There was also a time, long ago, when beer was the safest way to drink water.

Coke is very bad for you, but not so much as being in a car wreck.

Age and its associated dropping to bits side effects is definitely a health hazard.

I'm currently working in supported care with people with Shizophrenia. One thing they have in common is a history of drink and drug abuse, all triggered by their abuse of these. All too are heavy smokers, and I mean heavy. One will get through a 50g pouch, no filters, in a day.
I always wonder if it's a chicken and egg thing, drug abuse and mental illness.

I Worked in the Substance Misuse Field for Years..I was also a Part Time University Lecturer at Master Degree Level Training Nurses & Doctors & Counsellors..I was also Consulted by Many Health Care Professional's & Provided Outreach Training in All Aspects of Substance Misuse & Associated Mental Health Issues..o_O

There is No Direct Link to Substance Misuse being the Cause of Schizophrenia been Found..There Is Evidence of Substance Misuse Induced Periods of Psychosis which Recedes when the Subtance Use is Ceased or Reduced..Most People that are Diagnosed with Schizophrenia are in their Early 20s and that Correlate's to the Age of Alcohol & Drug Experimentation of that Age Group..A Psychotic Episode May Induce Schizophrenia if the Person was Otherwise Going to Develop Signs of Schizophrenia anyway..

The NHS or the Health Department is State Owned & the NHS Largely Provide Information along Current Government Drug Policy with Little Scientific Evidence..Most Schizophrenia Clients are Substance Misusers to Cope with Everyday Life as a Coping Strategy..This is a Compex Area that Requires Specialist Study..;)

The Irony is Of Course that the Substances of Choice by Many Schizophrenia Clients & Other So Called Substance Misuse/Mental Health Clients is NHS Prescription Drugs like Anti Depressant's, Benzodiazepine's & Other Mind Altering & Psychosis Inducing Substance's..

There are Millions of People on these Prescription Drugs as a Form of Social Control & Fiscal Rewards..:D

they use corn syrup, you gotta take the metabolism into consideration. 1 table spoon of corn syrup digests like 16 table spoons of regular table sugar. That is what you need to remember.

But honestly, the difference is the can. and by the way, they taste like shite. We have a coke machine at work, no one gets the diet crap from it. just regular or the water.

Having diabetes, the 'regular' is off limits, but in addition, I couldn't drink it if you paid me, I find it disgustingly sweet! Big fan of water though, out of the tap, wouldn't 'pay' for something you get for free LOL

I'm on a low-carb diet and I have been drinking Coke Zero once in a while. For some reason I find the taste most similar to the original.

I know it's not healthy and I should stop drinking it altogether.. but they go so well when I am munching on burger patties. :D

Successful marketing! The difference is that Diet is marketed to women and Zero to men - something which I have noticed but obviously cannot offer 'objective evidence' for. In Greece at least, the Diet/Light variety was generally considered more effeminate - cursive writing, the fact it used to be women that concerned themselves with watching their calorie intake etc. Times are a-changing ofcourse and the red on black, "bro-coke" is here to stay!

I personally prefer bland carbonated mineral water - I have to watch my figure after all!
