In the course of the recent Asylum RX pass-round, I tried out one of these new (to me) blades. After trying in the RX, I tried it in my other razors and found it quite astonishing. Previous experience with guard blades convinced me that I just could not get close enough, but this blade is amazing. My skin 'burns' very easily but with this blade I can go for a full three-pass with brisk polishing of the problem areas. The way I can shave with this blade would removed most of my skin with anything else but I can get BBS with no problem except a bit more work.

Anyone else tried these and is it just my good luck?

PS - I think they were designed for the ladies but they're fine for me!

I
I had never heard of these. I wonder how they compare to Feather ProGuard...
They are much less aggressive but must have a sharp blade beneath that guard or they wouldn't shave me so well. The guard design is completely different too. There's a picture on Connaught.

So... i saw those blades when i was in japan about 9m ago. They are marketed there for ladies beauty salon.

The pink colour choice is quite a give away. Ni japanese man would buy razor blades in a pink packaging so guess what is the intended audience...

I get 20 from a Feather Pro. I'm trying the soft guard at the moment and it's at 10 at the moment and still ok. If it does the 20 then it will be 6 pence a shave. More than DE but I prefer SE anyway. If you bulk buy its a bit cheaper too.
