This argument has been around a while for tickets to gigs/live events - the only reason companies and bots exist to buy up all the tickets is because people are willing to pay double the original asking price to go.
The first time someone played to an empty stadium, or the companies lost enough money on unsold tickets, it would stop.
Why has no-one stopped it happening? Because you can't, if there's people willing to pay, they get what they want, everyone is happy. You have to just let it play out.
Personally I've never paid over the odds for gig tickets. If I don't get them from the venue for normal price (which is sometimes ridiculous anyway) I accept I wont get any.
