After a case of the munchies, I tried a pack of McCains microwave chips. Followed the instructions to the letter, opening the box, tucking the lid in, the timings, the shakings - still ended up with a box of hot soggy potatoes! Anyone here crack the cooking technique to get them crispy?

Never tried them but the addition of some salt when cooking may soak up exess moisture?

Fries To Go, 2 mins 20 in the micro at 100% power (800w) leaves them very crispy in my experience. Haven't had microchips since I was a nipper

McCain do a triple cooked chip in beef fat (little) that they call their "gastro chip", expensive but awesome and when only a chip will do.
