There is nothing wrong with stockpiling, you protect against price rises in the future and quite often get great deals when buying in bulk. I've not called myself Blademonkey for nothing!
Very true, I wish I had a stockpile of Personna 74's, I would have done had I been DE shaving back then! p.In addition to what you say P. - you also protect against favourite blades simply disappearing. Anybody remember the blue packaged Gillette 7 O'clock Super Sharps? I haven't seen them for sale -if at all - for anything approaching a reasonable price for years. They still seem to sell the other versions. I have four or five tucks jealously guarded in my stash. I'd hand over my original Super Iridiums before them. Cheers - I

Have you tried the Gillette 7 O'C Blacks? I've heard they are supposed to be fairly similar to the 7 O'C Blues. Indian Gillettes do not seem to carry as much gravitas as the PPI ones, but I think the Indian Greens are superb.

I think stockpiling is a good thing, in addition to blades going out of production (like 7 O'C Blues) changes in quality/consistency is another thing. It's not really an issue for blades from some producers but some others seem to have had issues with quality control over the years. In the grand scheme of things blades don't really that much space - to save space I could probably put them in the empty cavities of my guitar cases if needed be!

More blades = Better
Thanks @donnie_arko - to check - I just went and got the packet out my wash bag. You are entirely correct - not withstanding the squiggly writing - a tuck of five and definitely a St Petersburg product. Not Indian. Have you tried the vintage blues? Cheers - I P.S - just got the name you use. Ha ha - yes. Very good.
Pleased you got the user name! Is yours a reference to a guitar pedal? Nice work on the avatar. The mighty Hunter S with one of the most inspirational comb overs of all time.
I've not used the 7 Blues. Shaving.Ie had them a while back and being a disciple of all things sharp from the PPI factory I was really tempted to pick up a tuck but buying NOS blades would make the already dangerous descent of addiction (of buying blades) even more problematic.
I have a Tuperware container full of Polsilver SI, Astra SP, Voskhod, Perma Sharp, and Rapira. If I live to be 90 I'll still have some left. Your thread title shows that you haven't fully embraced the rabbit-hole that is wet-shaving. Just wait until there's a Shavemac group-buy. You'll be emptying out your bank account before you know it!
So come a nuclear apocalypse, cockroaches and the blade collections of @Taipan and @Palmolive fox will be the only things that survive.

I have two types, 7 o'clock black made in India and 7 o'clock blue made by PPI. They are both labelled super platinum, but I've not seen super sharp. Are they the same thing?
