I recently picked up a new badger brush, a little pricier than I've previously gone for (silvertip baby).
The reason for the new brush is the knot came loose in my original EJ best badger. I was never overly impressed with it, as it seemed to shed throughout its life.
I've always rinsed my brushes out post shave, under cold water, and then gently swirled them on a towel to dry them.
My badger was then hung upside down, but my synth and boar I stand bristles up.
Having never exposed it to overly hot water, I was a bit shocked when the knot came loose (although it does sit in a window, therefore is exposed to the effects of the sun).
So, I thought I would check for advice on how to best care for my new purchase. How should I look after my brushes?
TIA.
