Glad you're enjoying it, Gordy. You have excellent hardware and software to work with. The 34C was my first proper razor and I still use it regularly; and Proraso green is good stuff.Monday 3rd September PM
Prep: Warm rinse with Nivea Sensitive Face Wash. Proraso Eucalyptus and Menthol Pre Shave cream
Soap: Proraso Green Eucalyptus and Menthol
Brush: Executive Shaving Medium Jock synthetic
Razor:Merkur 34c
Blade: Gillette Super Stainless (3)
Post: Cold rinse, Thayers Witch Hazel with Cucumber followed by Proraso Eucalyptus and Menthol Aftershave balm.
Today went well with the new team at work. Thanks for all the good wishes.
I wanted a pleasant unwinding shave this evening. I returned to a tried a tested routine using my trusted Proraso products. The menthol gives a good kick and leaves me relaxed and fresh.
A completely uneventful shave, but one that was great. Great because it was so uneventful, if that makes sense.
A good 3 pass shave which has left my skin smooth and refreshed. The balm topped it off nicely.
I can't put into words just how much I'm enjoying DE shaving. That's almost 2 months, pretty much shaving every day, and I have had absolutely no bad reaction on my face. My skin feels better. Friends have commented positively about how ‘fresh' my complexion is looking. I look forward to shaving every time. I've got to add that the positive attitude and friendly approach that members of this forum have towards complete strangers has made the experience even better. Thanks.
Have a great night folks! [emoji482]
Excellent posting, I too get the same enjoyment out of traditional wet shaving, which is something I never thought in a million years I would say, because shaving was just a mundane task for me that I mortally despised with a passion, now I totally look forward to my next shave.. Enjoy your newly benign wet shaving passion. Regards. BMonday 3rd September PM

Went into this with 3 days of growth which is most unusual for me, only because I didn't want to put a wet brush in a tube for a 10 hour journey from hell up the M5 & M6 back from Cornwall.
All was going well as I heeded advice from the owner @Satanfriendly to take it easy. I could probably have stopped after WTG & XTG, and those passes were excellent with no problems, but no I had to be big and clever (well, stupid) and go ATG. Holy sh*t, I have never had weepers like that, even when new to DE shaving. Tried to use shallow angle too! My own fault really, I should have stopped as soon as I felt the uncomfortable dragging, but I carried on and paid the price with about 20 weepers, mostly on one side. I reckon I'd have been fine staying on 2 passes or even doing an opposite direction XTG. Stupid of me really to go ATG on a first go with a razor this serious. Oh well, you live and learn. Leaving my face 3 days to recover from that one!
