SOTD, Tuesday 10 April 2018
Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap wash followed by warm water splash.
Cream - Geo F Trumper Extract of Limes.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 synthetic.
Bowl - Littke Wren Pottery.
Razor - Supply SE v2.0 (classic ** setting).
Blade - Schick Proline P20 (Day 1).
Post shave - Cold water splash; followed by OSP Neroli splash and Bart's Balm Lavender Post shave balm.
Post shave + - Geo F Trumper Extract of Limes Aftershave , applied to the neck.
As much as I have enjoyed DE shaving with the Rex Ambassador, I decided last night to get the Supply SE back in to rotation. I felt more 5 O'clock stubble than usual last night - putting it down to the Muhle DE blade; so decided to make the switch to a SE shave today. I loaded a Proline P20 last night, read to go this morning.
I also decided to give the Trumper's extract of limes shave cream a run out, a fabulous shaving cream, which I am surprised does not feature that often on SOTD as I had thought. I appreciate that YMMV
.
It took me a few strokes to get the optimal shave angle on the Supply SE, once I was there a great shave - 3 passes on the face (WTG, XTG and ATG) with a WTG and ATG on the neck.
No issues, other than some stubble, just underneath part of my jaw line, had escaped - not sure how I missed that, other than initial issues with the shave angle.
A very nice post shave feel from the OSP splash, topped up by the Bart's Balm. A spray of Trumper's extracts of lime on the back of the neck just finished off the shave well.
All the best,
Chris
