Summer Shoes

I'm amazed at the range of footwear deemed acceptable these days.
For summer, a nice pair of suede chukka boots or loafers is fine, with socks of course.
Deck shoes?,....Well,...the clue is in the name, and never at any other time.
Saddle Oxfords are nice and racy if you're on the Cote d'Azure,....as for sandals and those Adidas slides,...they are for tramps and hippies or for changing rooms, ....and as for those white Mizuno monstrosities,....ghastly,...and with a suit????
 
These are my shoes for summer 2018

I also have these from last year, but I only wore them once. I had really bad blisters from the heal :(. They are Barbour brogues, I can see the Good Year Welt guys faces, but I do have a pair of Cheaney's tan brogues. I just don't want to wear them in the gymkhana field :).

I was going to wear my Sebago's with shorts :oops:. The other pair are for beige Chino's...

First of all, we should delimit... which summer? Round here the tarmac melts in summer... sooo...for work (suit and all the trimmings, and I mean ALL of them...) I wear some "elegant" :rolleyes: loafers, as it is impossible for me to wear my beloved "oxfords"; at the weekend... driving loafers (sans socks...) or espadrilles if a seashore or a swimming pool is in sight..

Actually, I'd like to wear just... nothing... and enjoy the smooth sand of my private beach...;)

Any particular type or brand of loafers?

Espadrilles are terrible shoes... It's just the best way to get blisters. Eventually your feet will get used to it or vice-versa, but why so much pain?

Wellies would be more assorted to the Breton jumper...
