I wholeheartedly agree but I enjoy using travel brushes and razors for the variety.Greetings
Absolutely any brush whatsoever.
How many people when they travel are so desperately short of luggage space (cabin or hold) that the difference between a 20mm small brush and a 26mm large brush eats into their allowance to any realistic extent? As for drying, dry it on a towel; badger boar horse or synthetic they all dry easily enough with a towel. IMHO a travel brush is the perfect answer to a problem that just does not exist other then in the head of brush manufacturers.
An even bigger nonsense is a razor travel handle, your partner will be able to take an extra pair of shoes if you save a quarter of an inch by packing your travel handle!

Dick.
Could not agree with Dick more. I'm currently packing a kit - the razor is my Merkur Futur, and the brush is a Savile Row with a 24mm Silvertip knot. Travel experience has taught me that it is tough to replicate your normal shaving prep/routine when on the road, due to all the changing variables such as water, bathroom setup, available time, etc, and using minimalist gear has exacerbated this issue, resulting in less than satisfactory shaves. Hence, I try to stack factors in my favour by using items in my regular rotation. I am also packing a plastic travel scuttle/bowl as a trial - I use the same bowl routinely for shower shaving, and it works great.Greetings

I won't ask what you were doing under a bath tub when you lost it.I pack a cheap brush after loosing a nice badger brush under the bath tub in a hotel room.
