de blade help

Hi all, I've now had 2 shaves with different polsilver blades in different razors (fatip piccolo & EJ 89), and have subsequently had the 2 worst shaves I've had since transitioning to DE over 3 years ago. Irritation, burn and nicks like no other. Now, I know YMMV but I've read so much praise...
