20mm knot loft height

I'm restoring a vintage century brush, it's a tiny thing at about 43mm height. I've widened the hole to accomodate a 20mm fan shaped 2 band finest knot, what loft height should be looking at for face lathering?
 
I've a TGN 20mm fan shaped super badger knot that I plan on setting at 42mm. I think it should make a good face lathering brush at this loft. I tried it out at this loft with out epoxying it in and it worked well. I just shimmed it up to this height with pennies inside a hollow handle and it held in place because the fit was tight enough, I just need to get around to finally securing the knot now.
 
That's the one I was looking at, i think I'm going to have to see if I can get the hole in the handle deeper. Thanks YJ
