Gone over to using some 'organic' (whatever that means) Witch Hazel but will give it its due, it really does a great job.

Thayers witch hazel let it dry then after shave balm or after shave, that is the way I do it but everyone is different it's my way not necessarily the best way.

Used Thayers witch hazel for ever. Then I read an article in the world's leading medical journal, Yahoo Health, that suggested witch hazel can trigger rosacea and switched to a 444 alum block. Sure miss my witch hazel. Polish things off with a nice dose of Bellos Bay Rum Lotion.

I had never heard this. I'm a witch hazel user and rosacea sufferer. I hadn't noticed a link, although I'm careful not to get ANY shaving-related stuff onto the areas where rosacea tends to flare.

Thanks for that. I believe I have seen that article before. I think, in my case, I would probably conclude that Witch Hazel is NOT a trigger for rosacea. Good thing too! I like my WH.
