Hi,

I just bought a few eau de toilettes at cheapsmells.com. I got Puig's Quorum after reading a lot of positive comments on basenotes. Does anyone on here actually like this stuff? I've just tried it on and I think it smells pretty awful; really old man smell.

On the plus side, I also got CK Obsession, which is my favourite scent ever.

Great stuff.

A proper leather / tobacco scent.

Can be picked up for about £6 for 100ml round these parts.
 
I like Quorum, although I can see how it's not for everyone and I am acutely aware that I tend to prefer old fashioned frags. Keep hold of it, and try it when it gets colder out. I find that it performs better in Winter than in Summer, when it can be a little stifling.

If you like Obsession, I would recommend a sniff of Aramis Classic Reserve. A nice sweet patchouli/leather scent that kind of bridges the gap between Obsession and something greener like Quorum or Ralph Lauren's Polo, or from a leather perspective, things like the original Aramis and Spanish Leather.

Love Quorum, first decent aftershave I got and still regularly use it. Beats a lot of those insipid floral stuff hands down. Picked up a bottle for 9 quid at Savers chemist when I on hols in Wales, bargain.
+1 on the CK Obsession.
