Anyone tried hydrographic printing scales

Just wondering if anyone had tried hydrographic printing a set of scales or even a blade?

Ive done this in the past on a few car parts and they come out really nice. There are hundreds of films available like animal prints, snake skin etc, carbon prints, fire, skulls.

You basically take a sheet of film, mask out the size you need then cut it out. Sit it on top of some warm water for around 20 seconds then spray the activator, this then liquifies the pattern ready for dipping -

you can even do body parts :)
