Collection As We Enter 2024

My collection of DE razors changed massively in 2023. Hopefully it'll be a bit more stable this year! But, I wanted to put down a record of how the year started.

It's mainly focused on efficient solid metal razors. The 2011 R41 and R41 Twist stayed despite being made of alloy as they are so good. The H&D was a freebie with my 3ONE6.

While I have a pretty ridiculous collection, this year is all about using the stuff you love. LOVE. I spend a lot of time going through stuff because I have it and keeping a few things aside for special shaves. I'm flipping that around this year ... if I don't love it, I'm not going to use it. Unless I want to.

I know I love the Muhle Rocca and the Gillette Hybrid Tech, so they'll feature heavily. Love the Ranger Tech. I get on very well with the R89 and KGC, too. Love the Yaqi Tachi ... and the Razorock Hawk V3. Love the 1912 and have a really nice British unplated brass example now. Getting on lovely with the GEM Flying Wing (good, but not too close shaves). I'll bring out the Streamlines more often as well.

Actually, I'm pretty set on the blades that I like and have restocked some favourites recently. I've whittled soaps and brushes down to just the ones that I want and the soaps I kinda long to use are the ones I'll just use more and more ... predominatly British triple-milled and some lovely British vintage shaving bowls. MDC, too, which is awesome and I just never use it < did tonight, though.
