contemplating giving straight shaving a try. advice please

we'll my new straight arrived today a Paragon Sheffield razor ( think is a 6/8 but insure pics in tazz's thread in the buy, sell section.)

& iv got a Dovo tensionable paddle strop from invisible edge because i think its sightly easyer getting to grips with stropping with a paddle strop?!

im just getting over my nerves of holding and getting used to gripping the razor before even thinking obout shaving with it lol

feel well young thinking about shaving like this at 20 but i could be an old pro by my 40's LOL

ha nice to know im not the only one mad enough to give it a try

TBH tho im thinking at this rate i'll be getting shaves with chalk on my hand the amount of sweating im doing just holding that razor nether mind puting it up to my face :icon_eek:

just begginer nerves i hope. been practising stroping with a butterknife to trying to get my technique ok so i dont ruin the strop when i use the razor lol

lets us know how you get on with it mate
