Just in case anybody is interested I rather like www.goodreads.com - there are possibly other similar sites out there but I came across this and found it a good way to find out about new books and keep in touch with bookish friends. I'm currently trying to record every book I've read on there which is possibly a waste of time but rather addictive nonetheless. :blush:

its good ive been using it a while.
if you add people as friends it tells you what they are reading/what they liked
it also emails you when new books come out for authors you have books from

Thanks for the link. My wife is the new book reader though. I'm usually reading stuff published long ago. Quite often I buy for 1p on Amazon plus postage.
