It feels raw (EJ 89 & WS classic)

I use a Schick Krona and find that I have to try to stay aware of any pressure I'm applying as it's quite a light razor. As has been said, holding the razor at it's end helps. Feeling raw can also be from improper blade angle, scraping not cutting.

Apply no pressure. Think of each pass as a gradual reduction of the beard. Don't go over one area repeatedly. 2 passes plus touch up is plenty to learn with. Only change one thing at a time. Take plenty of time. BBS shaves can wait. Enjoy.
