Kindle Spring Sale (Amazon UK)

In case anyone gives a rat's ass.... there's a sale of sorts on over at Amazon. Various Kindle books reduced to 99p (some aren't reduced to 99p but all are discounted from "normal")

Thanks for that.

A couple of Kindle purchases for me tonight!

Good shout, thanks.

I'll maybe buy a couple later today as well. I've just finished reading the Sherlock Holmes stories and fancy something similar!

Mark

Was this the Kindle version available on Amazon, that was either free or some ridiculously low price, as I was tempted but noted a review complaining about the way the text had been "Americanised" and it put me off somewhat?

Hi Pete,

I don't think so, unless it was offered free after I got it. It was a couple of quid and, to the best of my knowledge, read the same as the novels.

This was the one I looked at.

Hi Pete,

No, that's not the one I got. Mine is the 'Complete Works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle' and has a few other bits and pieces as well as Holmes.

There are the original books on there - as in "not a full collection in a oner" - eg http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Memoirs-Sherlock-Holmes-ebook/dp/B0083Z12V0/ref=sr_1_9?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1364331389&sr=1-9 (Memoirs of SH); http://www.amazon.co.uk/His-Last-Bow-ebook/dp/B0082XIF5Y/ref=sr_1_23?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1364331469&sr=1-23 (His Last Bow - the individual story, not the collection of that name)

Thanks Honeymonster, got an interesting looking book called World War Z for just a quid.
Should satisfy my "Walking Dead" craving for not a lot. :)

World War Z's a cracker. I can't imagine how they've filmed it (Brad Pitt, forthcoming).

Went for this one in the end at a cracking price of £1.92.
