Looking after a razor

Your local pharmacy will sell you 70% IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol), or you can get it in Maplins (expensive) or ebay; sometimes called rubbing alcohol. IPA will sanitise but not sterilise, if you want to really kill all germs use Barbicide or Marvicide (same thing) which is easily available from any Sallys supply stores, most towns have one.

And yes you will be fine, even if you used Brasso a few times it shouldn't have much effect but long term it would strip the plating.

Thanks for the info.

I will rotate two razors using one, one week one the next. When I have finished a shave I will just dry said razor.
Then when I change at the end of the week clean the one I've just used then dry and store.

If they get too grubby then attack with a toothbrush and possibly autosol.

Cheers.
