When I log in the portal page displays '1 new announcement, 3 new threads 45 new posts' for instance.

Where can i see / find the new announcements?

Am I being stupid?

I get the same, but I just ignore it. I use the "view new posts" button, does the job for me.

I also wondered this. I considered that maybe it was only visible once you have a certain number of posts (I was thinking about 50), but Gingerpose has over 200, so either it's not that or it's a very high threshold to see these announcements.

The way I found to clear them is to visit each forum & sub-forum in turn and mark it as read... not very friendly I know but the only way I found
