No name English razor

I just wondered if anyone recognised this, I bought it a while back as part of an incomplete gents grooming kit. There's no makers name, just made in England. It's obviously a copy of a Gillette Old, the top and bottom plate are nickel I think and the handle looks like it's silver plated.

That handle design is quite distinctive, I haven't been able to find any similar designs on the net, anyone recognise it?

No but there are a lot of copies of Gillette Ball end Old types. I have had two and one was a very nice set. Hopefully a nice shaver for you.

Cheers, I haven't tried it yet, not sure how well it will work with modern blades but I'll give a try at some point. It's absolutely immaculate, a little soap scum between the teeth so it's not actually NOS but near as dammit!
