Here's a nice little blade that needed some new scales - I started with a block of resin that had some nice patterns in it but when I cut out the scales it immediately looked like a Koi. If I'd known beforehand, I would have tried to shape the scales into something more resembling a fish.
I tried to get the depth of colour by taking the photos in sunlight but they haven't turned out as I thought they might.
The blade is a standard 5/8" with red acrylic wedge. I started using a genuine Thuringian hone last week and am amazed at the difference it maked to the edge - this one was also honed on it.
This would make a good beginners razor so I'll be putting it up for sale along with a couple of others soon - say £50. Send a pm if you want more details.
