strange discovery

I have used a merkur 39c slant for a good 6months now and it was only tonight when I was cleaning it after the shave and discovered something.
when I unscrwed the handle from the safety guard suddenly the actual bottom screw(barberpole) came out which contained the middle section inside the razor,I was pretty scared thinking I broke it.I pushed it back in again and screwed the top section to it just fine.

Anyone else come across this before?Is this normal? :roll:

Yeah, perfectly normal. It's the same on the shorter handled Merkurs like the HD as well. The inner barrel has an expandable collar on that secures it inside the handle. Makes it easy to give them a thorough clean every once in a while.
