The adjustable Old Type

Beginning to shave with my Old Type I noticed that it much more aggressive that I remembered. After examination I noticed that I not screwed all the way. Quarter a turn less. Viola! An adjustable Old. Nice to know that I can variable the aggression of the raise so easily. Will continue experiment what gives me a better shave.

Be careful, while Gillette did advertise this with the old type, the blades in use at the time were thicker than modern ones, so there was enough tension to keep the blade secure even if you loosened the handle slightly.
