Total War Humble Bundle

The original Rome was one of the first PC games to properly addict me, most of them I just play through twice and then uninstall. The combination of civilization style city building, moving armies on the strategic map and then being able to fight the battles in "Real Time" with real troops was stunning! I'd seen them use the engine on a TV show with various experts re-fighting ancient battles, the game itself was not so historically accurate but still great fun.
As Dr Terror mentions you can pick up the older games for very little but they can look very dated, the more recent ones are perhaps overly complicated. Rome I or Medieval II are good places to start.
But hey for a tenner why not!
