I'm getting to be a regular at The Valet as I'm lucky enough to live about 25 mins away and I can vouch for the quality of their services.
It's a fantastic establishment with a great atmosphere - the sort of thing you'd expect to find right in the middle of a capital city, not the suburbs! I think you can get an idea of the quality of service they provide by looking at what their customers are saying...

One of the best professional shaves I've had anywhere in the UK, and I've had a few. Although I don't think a barber is ever going to give you as close a shave as you'd give yourself with a safety razor, but that's always outweighed by the fact that someone else is doing it for you - which is all part of the experience and enjoyment.
Their standard 'Signature treatment' http://www.thevaletmalegrooming.com/male-grooming-services/hot-towel-shave.html lasts just under an hour - available at the moment for £28.50, which I think is pretty good value.

It looks good, I like the fact there's a selection of bloke treatments, not just a haircut and shave. Although I don't think I'd partake in the 'Hollywood wax'.
Plus, Dane Bowers goes there, and he filmed himself nobbing Jordan.

Just looking at the videos. This has to be the perfect location, you can go in for a shave and a pampering and then, when finished, nip off across the road and a visit to Brothers Kebabs. What more could a man want
