I thought some of you might be interested in this: My late father used to work for a firm that made packaging machinery - one of their products wrapped DE razor blades. For testing/development purposes, the companies involved would send their wrappers and blades over to run through the machine. I have a small collection of some interesting blades he salvaged, (probably from the 1960s, though he did work at that company from before WW2 until retirement in 1983):
A lot of these manufacturers/brands will now be defunct, and those that are not will most certainly have changed their packaging designs.
I should perhaps note that about half of these (and I do have more than this) contain fully sharpened blades, the rest hold unsharpened "blanks".
