Which repairer?

So following on from me asking about a year ago (I don't procrastinate, I swear) about repairing my old Burnham fountain pens I seem to have narrowed it down to three possible places

http://www.penhome.co.uk/pen-repairs.html

http://www.classicpenengineering.co.uk/

http://eckiethump.webs.com/

The pens all need various work doing to them, only one or two are a simple sac change.

Anyone used any and how were your experiences?

Can you let me know what the service is like on return please. Have an old pen of my dads that i want servicing - old Parker. Would it be possible to ask the going rate for a service?

Used Derrick at classic pen in the end.

He was excellent and even replaced parts for originals as some of the pens I had sent him in were mongrels, lol.

He charged between £15-£25 per pen, depending what was needed

Sorry Bob missed both threads..........I blame the meds.........:p
Battersea Pens are good but pricey, so I used them only once.
Used "Eckiethump for a repair as well.
But out of the three you chose well, I have used derrick for a few of my Vacumatics including the one I kept from my original collection. This was done a number of years ago and still works as if it was new, what this man doesn't know about fountain pen repairs is not worth knowing. And as you have found out his repairs are good value as well.
I cannot recommend him enough.
