OK, I've seen the TLA (Three Letter Acronym) NOS used quite a bit on here, when I Googled it the acronym geeks on the internet reckon it means 'Not Otherwise Specified', yet the context I see it used on here, and on eBay for that matter, indicates it has another meaning that for the life of me I can't work out.

It's probably going to be blatantly obvious when one of you kind souls puts me out my misery, but as yet I'm stumped

Besides the not otherwise specified bit all I can think of is Nitrous Oxide System, but even as a dedicated petrol head I'm not going to try using one of those while shaving!

New Old Stock I think it means, as in brand new and unused, but vintage or otherwise no longer produced.

I always thought it was Nitrous Oxide System, makes you shave faster

Its New Old Stock - brand new as it was sold in the olden days.

New Old Stock. It generally relates to items no longer in production but which are in a totally unused condition I.e, as they left the factory.

I'd be happy to describe opened but never used as NOS such as film removed from a pack of blades etc

Ahhhhh

I suppose that BNIB (Brand New In Box / Bag) is pushing it a bit for something that's never been used but is 50+ years old
