went out for a meal last night with the old ball and chain to our favourite local restaurant

we mixed and matched so it was 2 Haggis starters, the boss had Lamb for main and i had the Ostrich, meringue and pecan pie for desert

try to get there once a month for a treat, the owner does a lot of shooting and we were lucky enough to be invited to one of his bi-annual game nights.
we've had wild boar, kangaroo, springbok and all kind of lovely stuff in the past.

highly recommended
 
In case anyone from exotic places like Carlisle is wondering - these are the sort of chap you expect to meet in Egremont on a regular basis
