Voyager CBD Shaving Soap;

First post for some years, as now pushing 80, caring for a semi invalid wife with health issues of my own, my shaving interests must needs take a second place.
I have, however, been very impressed by this artisan soap, originating in Pert, Scotland and costing £15.
Having had ‘problem’ skin over all my life my usual go tos have for many years been Phoenix & Beau and Wickhams. However a few months ago I decided to give Voyager a go as I‘ve found CBD products helpful in addressing my spondylitis and osteoarthrosis.
It lathers easily, giving a consistency I can only describe as a cross between a soapy fluidity and true shaving thickness. The glide is effortless and my skin is left feeling fresh (as fresh as octogenarian skin is going to get … sometimes I feel I should iron my ancient face rather than washing it) soft and comfortable. Quick drop of Bulldog sensitive & I‘m as good to go as I get.

It’s a very mild green or slightly grassy scent to my nose, nothing obtrusive and it won’t linger and affect any aftershave or balm you choose to follow up with.
All in all I find it to be an unobtrusive soap which seems to be just awffy good at affording a really nice aftershave feel to the face and which is more slippery than Grant Shapps being asked about any previous names he may have used.

It's great to see you back here posting JonnyO, I hope you are well even if you are pushing 80, remember, it's only a number!

Take care,

Paul.

i have two soaps with cannabis in it apparently and i hate them both.
i know this isn’t cbd but similar i guess.
Bhang from Ariana & Evan’s &
Black Panther from Pinnacle Grooming.
I actually get a scent of cannabis and i hate it.
i might give them a go soon in case iv changed my mind.
The idea of CBD oil seems better as you won’t get that horrible scent.
Having said that what’s the idea of CBD in a soap ?
i know it’s meant to help with pain & a colleague of mine takes it to help him sleep but i didn’t know it helps the skin

Very Interesting but a fad i reckon.
Cannabis has been smoked for hundreds of years and they just notice the benefits now.
Something just not right
The benefits of cannabis and it's bi products has been known for as long as man has been taking it, it tends to get downplayed by mainstream medical prationers because the plant has been demonized by the powers that be.
Big pharma wants you to take pills and potions because it's money in their pockets!

Yeah, it's ... "because they can". Today's passing fad. CBD infused titanium razors next ...

Not that I want to negate the positive effect that CBD can have on people for whom regular pain management therapies are not working effectively. I just don't see the need (or point) in a shaving soap, but then snide, grumbly Yorkshire fellow as I am can't see the point in a lot of things ... unless I like 'em :ROFLMAO:

Yeah bang on paul.
However i remember them saying the same thing about chinese medicines and chinese herbalists were in every shopping centre,
They basically came over night & left a few years later as not many people were taking them on.
I struggle with sleep these days & don’t get more than 3 hours unbroken.
One of my colleagues game me CBD and told me it would help,
it didn’t but that’s probably more of a reflection on me as nothing seems to work

Have you tried valerian root? You can get it in capsule form these days, works for me. YMMV! :)

How much CBD is actually in the product, by volume? And how much is needed to make a demonstrable benefit?
Unless you're one of those who believes in homeopathy: that by watering down a medicine you somehow make it stronger!
