What made your day a crap one??

Hiya,

Well yesterday I opened the trunk to retrieve the what was until recently a part of my finger. Waited till it had mostly dried up after 5 days, kept my sunglasses on during the procedure, and kinda defocused my eyes a little bit. I already have plenty of other previous visuals the last couple years to try and forget as it is.

Whole nail was still intact and I will stop any other descriptions right there.

Similar happened to one of my younger brother's friends. He was playing chase around the house with his sibling, their rather large, swinging, double doors caught his finger on the way through and took it clean off at the highest bend. Fingernail was still intact and docs acted quickly enough to transplant the nail onto the remainder of the finger. Alas, short finger with a nail!

Hope yours is a speedy recovery.

After circa 2 years of not being ill - nope, not even a cold! I have come down with a rather surprising head-cold, courtesy of my significant other. To top it off, my little darling doggy needs her knees operated on. We had the x-rays done Thursday last week and the first operation of two is today. Result should be no more wobbly kneecaps, pain and dislocation free herein. Unfortunately, recovery does come with 4 weeks cage rest followed by 8 weeks rehabilitation.

Feeling sorry for myself and her after dropping her off at the vets this morning.

She will be fine mate and hopefully fit and pain free for the future so well worth it, as for your head cold ......well it's a minor thing and you will be fighting fit before you know it. :) P.

Whilst I sympathise with your serious head cold, I can't help feeling that I would have thought that your poor pet's predicament deserved top billing.

You feel correctly. It is dear, however pet insurance covers it well and truly (thank f*ck).

@Blademonkey - I'm sure she'll be fine, she is a tough little bugger after all! I'm sure I'll be fine too! Just not what I needed right now, especially starting back to work after a nice break over Christmas and the New Year.

Hope all goes well Benz, both with the cold ( well, us less fortunates feel you are due one ) and, more seriously, doggy ops. You've got my sympathy with the enforced rest period, that's no joke.

Cheers JohnnyO! Myself and the OH were discussing how stir-crazy the little doggo is going to go during her R&R. She will be bouncing off each and every wall of her newly-acquired cage.

Finding out my soon to be ex wife's best friend has landed a job in my office, and will sit right behind me.
Be like having a spy in my office, reporting back to my wife any time I talk about women/money/fun going forward.
