What made your day a crap one??

Decided to shift the snow from my drive and the car, all went well until I opened the car to get the ice scraper to finish getting the ice out from around the wipers. All I did was open the car grab the scraper and shut the door again, only it was followed by a what sounded like something falling out the back of the car. It was the rear window! It just shattered. With all this bad weather and a backlog of work Autoglass can only get to me on Wednesday next week. In the grand scheme of things many worse things can happen, but it is still annoying.

Fortunately I can work from home next week or blag my wife's car if really needed, but I usually drive to work. My regular drive to work is around 25 minutes, public transport is about 1.5 hours!

Another plus is her car may be an ageing Citroen C1 but it has all weather (m+s) rated tyres and is actually not a bad car when it is icy and in the snow, providing the snow is not too deep.

Some old SOB in a pickup as large as a Tiger tank ignored the lane signals and he barreled into the left side of my car from the side at an oblique angle. Totaled the driver side front & rear doors. I hit my left temple on the driver side window and wrenched my back a tad. My head hurts I will add, but ambulance crew checked me out & said good to go. The other fellow has insurance and the Police officer did cite him. In the meantime my car looks like gypsies live in it.

Sorry to hear about that @Bogeyman , what's happening with the car then?

I can get a copy of the police report next week and then call his insurance to file a claim. The way the process works here is then I have to get at least two estimates and his insurance adjuster will probably want to look at it as well.

The stupid ol' fart tried to deny his guilt, but the officer was familiar with the intersection and nailed him dead to rights on it being his fault. Meanwhile, it is driveable, but looks like Hell on the left side. Of course, people in traffic grant you a wide berth when they see a car all banged up. :D ;)

What made my day crap? Mmmmm...
Asking my Mrs to transfer £7000 pounds and she transferred it to someone else unknown....one digit wrong on my account number.

From what i read online, i might not be able to get it back.

Sickening to say the least......
