Feather AC

I have just gone a bit mad and and bought 4 Feather AC's or Clones for £230.00. I now have the following:

Feather DX
Kai Captain
Feather SS
A Rebranded CJB

The cost is less than a DX bought in Europe, the CJB is coming from the USA and the rest Japan. Hopefully I won't get caught by Customs. I would like to have the full Feather range, sadly my RG was borrowed and never returned as was my original CJB. I have a Feather Nape, I wouldn't mind getting a Prebeau and a Pleana. Sadly, I think it will be hard to get another RG at a reasonable price .

What is your schedule for using these? Are you going to shave with one for a period of time before trying the next, or are you going to throw them straight (pardon the pun) into rotation?

How far have you got so far?

I am concentrating on the DX, although I might give the SS a try next. I am using them in between using other razors .
How are you finding the DX? I like my folding one, especially with Pro Guards. You are tempting me to get the fixed handled version.

You may find that the Kai Captain is a more natural progression from the DX. The blade exposure is somewhere between the DX and SS.

I love the handle, the head feels heavy when going ATG up my neck/throat. The weight is probably perfect for not using pressure when holding flat against my cheeks going WTG. I will probably use the Captain next then, either with the milds or MG's.

I had a lovely green folding Feather AC SS once. Loved it, but I preferred a fixed handle one I had on loan once, so I sold mine.
I still have a bunch of blades now without a razor, so I just left a very cheeky offer for a green fixed handle SS on eBay. Bloody enablers.

They are very inexpensive at the moment, my SS was only £43.00. I did go overboard and order a DX and Kai Captain from the same vendor. The overall cost was the same as a DX from a UK vendor. Unfortunately my seller was not custom friendly, and I got caught by Customs.

The cheeky offer I left was a bit less than that. Even if I get stung by customs and Royal Mail ransom it should be an OK price. I expect my cheeky offer to be declined. :p

DX from Japan £105 delivered. I too got a custom charge of around £20 but it's worth every penny ! I have all sorts of razors , DEs straights but the DX is a complete machine. It does demand a good technique and fairly unforgiving but if you get it right there is no finer shave!!

If the seller is takey-jp2014, he will accept £43.00. Which was £5.00 off the list price.
Lower offers were declined ...
