Does anyone know why fine accoutrements increased their prices so much in the last year?

The Shaving Evangelists TSE aka CDB on Youtube commented on this very topic twice in the past 2 years. The 'artisans' responded to his criticism of shooting up prices with justification that they started using higher quality ingredients. For AS I believe the words "high quality essential oils" were used, which Chris ridiculed on several videos as bollocks. He didn't mention Fine in particular, but he did reference prices going up from $16 to $25 for AS as greed business practice.

Chris doesnt mince his words, good on him I say.

A tariff is levied by the importing country, hence the UK in this case. However, I think that FA simply increased their price for whatever reason. Maybe they just think the British are a smelly lot and can be "squeezed". :p:D;)

Lol Everyone knows the English smell of roses.

The question remains, is it fine for Fine to not have fine prices in the U.K or is it a fine time that Fine makes its prices fine? ✌️

i would 2nd the nanny's recommendation - i've not tried her lavender but the lime and bergamot soaps were excellent. Perhaps @Fox can create a classic line of simple scents - he has the rose nailed already :)

Oo err sailor, haven't seen you around these parts before ;)

We previously established I probably never get compliments no matter how nice the scent due to my RBF (undeniably true.)

Well, Aventus changed all that, now I get random men telling me I smell

Three compliments in one day, from very errr 'fashionable' chaps... I'm telling you this stuff is a penis magnet, mind you I'm not far from Brighton...

We don't know what is his breakeven cost, but maybe he was underpricing in order to break through and build a customer base at first. When he got it he raised the price to it's ''normal'' value. I think Mr. Fine said it smth like that himself.

Anyway, nobody can say what is too much for an aftershave, if it sells then that's a good price.
If it doesn't sell he will a) go bust or b) be forced to lower the prices.
Money talks.
