ATT G1

From the reviews the G1 on the initial plate is way too mild for anybody, thus the reviews have died out. The improved more efficient plate ATT came up with subssequently, is still way too mild for me, although I've read some people like it.
The head itself is very well made and compliments to ATT for that Some find the metal connector easy to drop down the drain. I bought a 2nd plate, (the improved efficiency one), but I'm thinking of selling as it does not see any use.
If you were asking about the SE2 OC, then yes it's one of my faves.

Thanks for the info.

I've been reading about the initial plate being very mild but not much on the new improved version. I don't have a GEM style razor and wanted to add one to the den

I have the ATT G with the revised plate and find it mild. After talks with Stan of ATT , I have tried shimming and found that works but not keen to do that on a new Razor. It is a shame because the Razor is nicely made.
I know of folk with lighter beards than mine who get on with it.

Great work, I have the V2 and it's still a paperweight, I was thinking about doing the same thing, but don't know how without any specialized tools. How did you achieve this?
Thank you
All I had to hand was an oil stone, different grades of wet and dry and metal polish to finnish.
It took me around two solid hours of rubbing on the oil stone to remove the unwanted metal and then around half an hour working with the wet and dry (wet) and finnished off with the metal polish to bring to a perfect shine. I had worked out where I wanted the finnished edge to be so I just kept checking as I was working the baseplate. No special tools needed, just hard work and time :) P.
