Blade stuck in the razor

Hi all,
I've just changed blades. Removing a Feather from a 3 piece razor. The first Feather I've used.
The blade was fairly well stuck between the plates. It took a bit effort to separate the plates then get the blade off the bottom plate. It looks like the wax adhesive from the packaging had glued the blade in place.
Is this unusual? Can it be avoided?

It's a bit of a pain but I remove the wax from the blade before I put it in my razor, although it should all melt away in the hot water in your sink but it doesn't always work like that and I find it easier to clean the wax from the blade than from my razor.

Agreed entirely. I don't think Kai have any form of adhesive either.

The Polsilver Lodz are one of those I ask myself 'why?', being as each blade is so well packaged

It's wax to prevent the blade from sliding in the wrapper & dulling the edges. After shaving run hot water over the razor head to dissolve wax. Problem solved.
