Blades sold as Not shaveready honed

Anyone tested a blade sold by Revisor Solingen as Not shaveready honed? How much honing are we talking about? No attempt to hone at all, just a raw edge left after grinding? Honing started but stopped after bevel is set? Anyone? Sent a mail to Revisor asking but got no answer.

Would imagine it has a factory edge put on it but not shave ready. Gold dollar's are usually sold like that. Bevel set and edge sharpened enough to cut paper but wouldn't pass a hanging hair test.

Mine came about a month ago. It was honed at the factory on "European stones" - their exact words. You can shave with it, but there are definitely more comfortable edges. It is somewhat similar to an 8k edge - very subjective though; ymmv.

Are you talking about the blades sold individually by Revisor or complete razors?
