Bowl or face

It's a Blackbird, I would reach for it before anything else so I thought what's the point in keeping everything else. If I want a change I'll swap soaps and splash. We'll see how it goes anyway.

I assume that's a DE, I have little knowledge of those razors though I like using mine, I only have one a DE89. I only bought it to ease my way into straight razors. I do like that Edwin Jagger but have gone nuts buying straights, well sort of only into the 20's at present.

Yes a DE razor and for me the best I've had.

I used to bowl lather, because my synthie brushes would do that better. Since I got two wonderful badger brushes from Andy's mega sale, I only face lather, because they create absolute wonderful results

I started off bowl lathering, but with creams. Then I began to face lather as it seems to be easier to produce a rich, slick lather that way.

I recently traded for a scuttle and began to bowl lather again, but with small brushes it Is very hard to create good lather, and even with big ones it seems easier on face. So I'm probably going back to that.

Why not use a big old coffee mug?

If you decide you like bowl lathering then purchase a nice one.

May help you figure out the size you need.

I face lather but have a bowl to keep my loaded brush in.

One as I find it easier to add water & two so I can scrap excess lather off my brush & thirdly to stop soap creeping into the handle if I stored the loaded brush upright between passes.
