Brush for a newbie

So something I don't really get; if a know cannot be separated from a handle at a later date then why the hell do people but £100+ handles? Seems silly to me.

It is relatively easy to separate the knot from the handle, if you just want to save one. You can either cut the handle open to save the knot, or drill the knot out to save the handle.

You find a knot you like, often the handle is very simple and then send the brush to a handle maker, to set you knot into a nice handle

As far as I know, there is only one brush maker out there, who really does custom knots and custom handles (Shavemac)

Right now MÜHLE couldn't smell YaQi's ass on a windy day as they are so far behind the curve. YaQi is where it is at, I can assure you. ;)

I haven't used a Muhle synthetic brush, but I own two YaqI synthetics a RazoRock synthetic and a YaqI 2 Band.
I mostly reach for the YaqI brushes because they 'feel' better in use. The 24mm Tuxedo is a real pleasure to use.
If I hadn't already run out of hiding places I would buy the whole YaqI range !!
