Can you name anything that youngsters of today won't know?

And to think just recently I was innocently chatting about a deceased friend of mine, a kilt and bagpipe maker by trade, who taught himself drystane dyking ... and not a double entendre or sexual reference in sight !

Snopes: Modern products still sometimes bear labels and descriptions that include a color named for a racial pejorative.

Took my mum years to stop calling a certain shade of wool 'Nigger Brown'.
Most uses of the word nigger get changed these days, Ten Little Niggers by Agatha Christie hasn't been around for a while for example.
Evolution is a wonderful thing, within what 40 years? it went from a word people who weren't consciously racist would casually use to a term so offensive that it's legitimate use (in another language entirely) offends 'snowflakes'.
There is a excellent forum I go on and I typed in the name of the famous American comedian Dick Van Dyke and they censored dyke .shakes head. Anyway your mam leaving Door keys under the mat or plantpot to let yourself in.

It's a good job you didn't try to type, "Scunthorpe",..you'd have got a lifetime ban.

I believe it has been renamed "And then there were none" in the US.
Although in French, the original title (translated) is still used, a proposition has been made recently to rephrase/reformulate all the collocations using the "N" word; it's used to designate "ghostwriter" for instance.
I believe they changed the line in 'The Sun has Got his Hat on' from 'He's tanning all the n*****s in Timbuktu' to something else as well...

I'm not sure if this was just a Manchester thing but , Brentford Nylons ( for those old enough), poly cotton nylon bed sheets ( which used to give an electric shock) and Alan (fluff) Freeman advertising them.
