Do you recycle your old blades?

I use my sharps bin that the doc prescribes for doing my injections, don't know if I should really it ends up with more blades than needles in there

I don't think it is a good idea to put them in a recycling bin, because when they need to get sorted they create a big danger to the people working there. Scrapping it? Well the price of stainless steel(has different categories and grades) is between 70p to £1 a Kilo, so in order to collect at least 1Kilo of scrap DE blades you will need to save for years.
I think the safest way to dispose them is the Bio Hazard sharps box, those bright yellow plastic containers used to dispose used needles and syringes etc..
If not save them in a box or tin and dispose it to normal refuse for landfill I guess that is the safest way to dispose them

I use something similar to this. Cost me 59p and should last for a few years!

I was told that DE shaving was good for environment because the razor was not disposable and the metal blades could be recycled. Since I started to shave with DE Razor, I have not found a place that would recycle the used blades. In fact, used DE blades are not allowed in recycle bins because they will injure the sorting workers. I contacted local company who recycled scrap metal, but they did not accept used DE blades. So the only choice left for me is to put the blades into a safe container (plastic box) before throwing them into a garbage bin.
I live in Toronto by the way so I am not sure about Europe.
