Happy new year

Happy new year to everyone my name is Shaun and I'm a little new to straight razors. I'm sporting a full beard all be it it's a little thin in places. I have never really done anything with it other than a little trim at the barbers now and then but recently I have been doing it myself with the cheap straight razor I brought. I have been learning how to hone and sharpen it and I feel I'm ready to either invest in something (that's) well made or a vintage one.

I'm looking for a little advice on what vintage razor is good for a learning beginner. I have various stones for honing ranging from 1000g - 8000g plus a welsh finishing stone which is about 12k grit. I have a strop but would be looking for something better than what I have and maybe wider than the 1”3/4 wide one I have

I basically use the razor for my neck line and cheek line

Cheers for any comments it's much appropriated
