A superb shave set up, which will give you some sublime shaves...once you've used the blue beard's revenge blades for a while, you can try some different ones to see which is suited to your skin type.
I recently purchased a Omega 49 brush "In Red too", great minds and all that...Once the tips start to split, which takes a while, it'll be a superb brush..Enjoy your shaves. :)

Thanks will do ive just had a sample pack off blades arrive this morning having a shave every other day and listening too the advice ive had on here

Awesome kit. That particular razor is not mild at all, very efficient. When you get more comfortable it will cut whiskers very close and smooth. I thought you got the TTO razor, but this one is even better IMO. Be careful not to drop it or screw it down too tightly, otherwise the thread stem will break and it will end up in the bin. Adding a drop of mineral oil or silicone grease prolongues the stem life.

Buy some alum block to rub your fingers on, it will make the razor handle very easy to grip even when lather runs all over it. Also alum is excellent post-shave astringent and clears the skin, as you've probably read.

The brush looks oddly familiar to me... ;)

The best advice is following your own judgement...My only humble advice I can give is,, See what works for you, and don't worry too much about anyone else's opinion. Nobody is standing on the other side of the mirror making biased judgements. The face you're shaving is your own, and you don't have to satisfy anyone but yourself. The wonderful thing about traditional wet shaving for me is that there are so many good products out there and there literally is something for just about everyone..I don't scorn people who don't use a DE razor, or people who use budget SOTD set ups..Each to their own.... My personal opinion is 90% of traditional wet shaving is learning your technique, & good preparation, having a good razor which you do, & a blade that's suited to your skin type..Practice your technique, don't expect too much too soon and you'll be rewarded with some excellent shaves.Enjoy your shaves....

I here what your saying and its good advice
For me its something ive wanted to do for a long time im not expecting baby smooth shaves just good ones with minimal blood loss lol I had a very good shave yesterday will be shaving tomorrow hopefully with the same result got some more blades to try in the weeks to come going to keep it simple so I can find out what works for me and keeping the cost to a reasonable amount for a while
