Injector Blades

Ha! Awesome! I am so pleased you like it :D

Those lugs on the baseplate are just perfectly placed, aren't they? The other baseplate should give you an ability to set the blade back a little for a milder shave, but it is a tight fit.

So, Schick now well and truly out-Schicked?

Folks looking at this and wanting their own, this is a Christy. There are also razors from Keen Kutter, especially ones with coloured bakelite handles, that work really well (see my recent SOTD pictures). The main difference is the Christy has lugs on the baseplate which makes aligning an injector blade a doddle, but no room for adjustment forwards or backwards; the Keen Kutter has a flat base and so offers that ability, but it is a little more fiddly to set up. Both hold the blade well and hold it in place throughout the shave.

Champion!

Hi Paul,
Yeah, that Base Plate is .....Well.....just perfect.......:icon_rolleyes:
The head and Comb are a wonderful design and just follow the contours of the face with an elegant grace.......

I am sitting here with what could be the "Grand Ultimate" Shaving Result..:icon_razz:

Aye, the Schick has now been well and truly out-Schicked .........:icon_mrgreen:

... erm ... "Christy Razor" or "Keen Kutter Razor" :D

Actually, there's a couple of nice bakelite handles Keen Kutters at good low prices right now. One red, one green (in cardboard box). Any black handled you see, I get dibs.

If you spot something and just want a second opinion Lee, drop me a PM.

Anyone tried these:

Not sure how it can have twin blades, and a little expensive, but maybe a nice shave?

Hi Lee,

This Manufacturer apparently make these blades for Schick Twin Blade Injectors that have stopped being made, but still currently available in Japan......The same company also sell Single Injector Blades....:s

I am not sure what Schick models that are compatible with Twin Injector Blades.....
Martin (Dodgy) or Paul will have the Intel on that one......I know Twin injector blades are not compatible with PAL Injectomatics .......I have been tempted to try the Single Blades , but I am swaging some batches of NOS Blades for a fraction of the price......But there's always a first.........:icon_razz:

Looks like an interesting blade. Wonder if it's made in Japan or somewhere else.

Lots of injectors are fine using twin type blades. I have tried a few versions with good results. Matter of fact the Personna2 was one I used a lot some number of years ago.

' Twins not suggested for Schick E&G types, but everything starting with 'I' is ok except for the Hydros. Not for the Pal adjustable either.

Some people complained about the design clogging a little but I never had that problem.

Hiya,

When that Mongoose using regular injector blades comes out, the people who have already found a few favorites are gonna have a distinct advantage over someone with no or little blade experience. Knowing what blades fit well is gonna make a difference in the performance for sure and some members won't ever see just how good that shave could be.

Nice getting the important trial and error thing over with early,

Martin

Ooh! Good spot! I am a particular fan of the twin Gillette injector system - the 'Twinjector'. Supplies of old stock are very much dwindling, but this looks viable ... costly, but viable.

Cheers!

Here's how it works ... they're just two blades, stacked in a staggered manner and tacked together:

Thanks for spotting these. Ordered some. Delivery estimated by mid June. Enough time to pick a Schick for them... N3 perhaps?...

Andreas

Hi, Andreas,

I wouldn't have thought there would be enough room to get a double Blade in a Christy.......Its quite a tight fit with a single blade........I mean, the Christy is just a perfect set up with a single blade and any manipulation of the head might perhaps throw out the balance of such a perfect set up.....

But, Paul is the man, when it comes down to the Christy though......:icon_razz:
