Lee Childs

I have listened to all the Audio Books and read all the short stories.

.

Same as you, I've just started listening to the audiobooks. Not the usual stuff I listen to but enjoyable.

John Grisham.... Rogue Lawyer also in audiobook is one worth listening to.

Already listened to Rogue Lawyer. Great book. As are all of Grishams books.

I used to spend at least 30 mins, sometimes more driving to work.

Audio books are perfect for the journey.

Meant to say, I'm not a great horror reader/listener but.....
The Shining by Stephen King is a great audiobook.

The three books by Stieg Larsson, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest are worth a listen to.

good shout - i thought tom whatshisname did a good job in the reacher movie - they're making another one based on Never go back but i dont know who's cast as the lead.

Started reading the newest book "Make Me" - first 100 pages are typical and good.
Another favorite author is Michael Connelly - "Harry Bosch" series. US Amazon has 2 of his books on Prime Video. 9-10 hours each and follows the book very closely (including appearance of the actors). Amazon gave the author a major role in the video and it shows!!

Hope to read some of the books mentioned by @Satanfriendly

I've read all the Jack Reacher novels up to and including 'Make Me' which I believe is book #21 in the series and which I finished reading last week. Sadly it will be my last as I've felt for the last 4 or 5 books that the character and plot have run completely out of steam and become repetitive and directionless. I found myself praying for the story - such as it was - to come to an end as soon as possible. I always felt that Michael Madsen, (Mr Blond in Reservoir Dogs) would have made a great Reacher on screen but that would have probably been at least 10 years ago.

Re: RE: Lee Childs

I think the Chris Ryan books are similar edge of your seat stuff if you have not read them.

Any other suggestions of similar writers?

the ben hope series by scott mariani. the english (ex sas) version of jack reacher.
me and the girlfriend found them just as enjoyable.

I've read all the Reacher books (recommended to me by my mom :) ) and now I've started reading them all again. I found out recently that as Lee Child is an avid Aston Villa supporter there is at least one character in every book that is named after a past/present Villa player.
