Looking for vegan shaving soaps

Hello,

I made the transition from cartridge razors and foam cans and gels not that long ago. I am still trying to find "my" best suited products. As I am vegan myself, I am now looking for vegan/ vegan friendly shaving soaps or creams.
Since I am living in Germany, I need shops that also ship to Germany.

So far I know that these soaps are vegan:
- some Haslinger soaps
- Speick active men soap / cream
- Nivea men cream
- at least some Taylor of old Bond Street
- Wickham 1912
- Soap Commander

I have tested Speick, Nivea, TooBS and Wickham 1912 and I really like the Wickham soaps. I would really appreciate it, if you could recommend some more vegan soaps, since you guys have way more experience and know the market and the available products much better then I do.

There are some fantastic vegetable soaps available, often not labelled as vegan but I dont think they contain any dairy products so should be okay, or do I have it wrong?

My favourite veg based soaps are from Saponificio Varesino, a bit pricey but the best of their kind.

This is what they say about their shaving soap range:
  • • 100% vegetable
  • • NO palm oil (forest protection)
  • • NO preservatives / chelators / antioxidants of chemical origin
  • • NO petroleum, mineral oils, dyes, parabens
  • • NO EDTA - SLS - BHT - SLES - PEG
Others that spring to mind are: PannaCrema Nuavia, Klar Seifen, Martin de Candre, Tabula Rasa & Castle Forbes... These are all top end products that will provide superb performance, though I'm not sure which ones are available in Germany.

Thank you for the replies so far, please, keep them coming.
I don't have a problem with ordering in the UK or US or somewhere else, as long as these shops ship stuff internationally and with reasonable shipping costs.
For the vegan aspect, lots of soaps contain tallow, woolfat/ lanolin or silk proteins which makes them not vegan friendly. So it is not only dairy, that is a problem.

- Calani has lots of scents but sadly only three soaps that are actually vegan :/
- Dr Dittmar Rasierseife and Golddachs Rasierseife Classic look interesting
- Saponificio Varesino looks interesting, but a bit pricy for sure. This might be an idea for a special occasion, like making myself a birthday or christmas present :)

I will try to figure oout the ingredients of the other suggestions.

A few TFS soaps are vegan, the traditional range seems a good place to start.

One of my favourite soaps is 3P and it contains near enough the same ingredients as Martin de Candre but is sold for a lot less. The Lea & Palmolive cream is readily available, well priced and the performance is superb.

I'd recommend getting some samples from Shave Dash if you can.

Lea seems to contains woolfat /lanolin :/

I've contacted Klar Seifen and Dr Dittmar and both manufactures state, that their shaving soaps are vegan.

3P looks interesting and will find a spot with the next order from Connaught shaving. Lots of the soaps suggested by Rohleder look nice as well, allthough a bit pricey.

The more expensive Lea cream contains lanolin but the cheaper one doesn't.

This one has the ingredients list here

is the same cream as this one

If you can live with the bland scent, 3P could be the only shaving soap you ever need... Amazing performance and value for money.

Regarding the price of Saponificio Varesino etc, they are expensive but are triple milled hard soaps so will last a long time.

Speick soap (stick) has tallow, but their creams do not.

Speick has a "normal" product line and than there is the Speick Men Active Line. This seems to be vegan.

As I've never tried those almond-scented soaps or creams, I'll just give it a try.
I would really like to try Saponificio Varesino as well some day. I read some good stuff about it.

I have been using saponificio varesino this past week. This beats any other quality soap and cream I have used before. Lathers like a dream . Creamy cushioning meringue.best feel ever face lathering. Buy the refill puck if you have your own container. Yes,every hard and will last ages. This is the only soap that I wanted to buy the range.
